They weekend

As i said, this weekend i would do research to improve my mark, and i have. I researched Media like Televison and magazines. and more indepth studying into EMAP.

Im am hoping that this will raise my marks now for my e-porfolio and all i can do now is wait.

After Teacher marking

A couple of days ago, the class reveived back their portfolio's with a mark from teachers. My mark was a C and i was expected to get a C after editing ares of work that needed improving.


I took my work to the next stage and had aweek to edit my Front cover and contents page, i found that these were really weak in design. I feel alot better about my design work with the improvements made.

This weekend i plan to do more research into music magazines, music magazine companies, and analysis of Double page features to get my research and planning mark up.

Questionaire

after completing and prinitng my front cover, contents page and double page spraed, i created a questionaire for people to view my fornt cover and see what they think of it


Overall responce was that my fornt cover was bland and needed more colour. My images were proved successfuland so was the font. i have took this into acocunt and am now editing to make it better so i can get more marks

Analysis of actual Double page Spread.

After Analysing a Interview with the lead singer of Nine Inch Nails Trent Razor, i find very informal language with slang and swearing in the interview. It appears to be a more of a conversation with off topic questions. ' Can you cook'

At times trent replies bluntly to questions and mosty odf the time he talks small. He doesnt put much description into his awnsers. Suprisingly though with this blunt attitude this interview was quiet big to fit a double page Spread.

My Choosen Magazine

For my music agazine ui have choosen to do Jazz. I have made a sketch of what my front cover will look like. For my background the main image will be part of the background. The background will be black with a light so it looks like a stage light. My Target audience is a large amount of black people and people over 50 who have quite a relaxed life and a positive attitude towards it

MY target audience i imagin would be maily men who are happy with their lives and really people who have grown up with Jazz.

the last week.

The last week in mediaq has been difficult yet somehow progressing. I finally finished and printed off my front cover after an hour of picking from teachers and have created my questionaire for people to fill in.

Yesterday however was dissapointing as iw anted tyo finish my double page spread but the Macs decided to hide it, eventually i got that back after a turn off but lost this pictures i was going to put onto it... great. Hopefully when i go back in media on Monday everything will be hunkydorie and there so i can get on and print that and get it in my folder.

another day

well missing the lesson wasnt great. so not much to say apart from leading on from yesterday. After work on sunday i decied to try my patience and battle with my pictures, and i lost my patience trying.

So now its a case of taking new pictures with easier surrounding to edit.

What i think so far

Well Media studies is not bad of a subject however i'm finding it very difficult to get used to the E-mac computers, and im not the only one! they are so difficult to use and so far its been the first difficulty for me in the subject. I have tried dozens of times to edit my pictures for the front cover of my music magazine using the E macs and its going nowhere

I've decided to do it my way and send them home to do them and if that doesnt work ill be taking pictures again with a black background so its easier to keep update.
